COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A South Carolina state prison employee was arrested after allegedly using her vehicle to hit another person in Richland County.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said 30-year-old Brittany Larkin was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree simple assault.
RCSD said Larkin allegedly sped up to the front-passenger door of the victim’s vehicle while they were inside outside the Family Dollar on Broad River Road. She and the victim reportedly knew each other.
While responding, deputies initially thought it was an accident, RCSD said camera footage from the store showed evidence to suggest Larkin crashed on purpose. The sheriff’s department also said two children were inside Larkin’s vehicle at the time of the crash.
No injuries were reported.
