PALERMO, Maine — A man from Liberty faces a murder charge in connection with a homicide case in Palermo, in which a man was found dead outside his home back in April.

State police conducted a welfare check the morning of April 19 at a home on Boots and Saddle Road, where they found a man dead outside a residence.

He was identified as 56-year-old Robert Bruso of Palermo.

Bruso's death was considered suspicious, and an autopsy confirmed the manner of death a homicide, though investigators did not identify a suspect at the time, only stating that there was no threat to the public.

On Thursday, Sept. 18, state police detectives charged 58-year-old Kirby Bradford of Liberty with murder in connection with Bruso's death, according to a news release from the Maine Department of Public Safety
