BERWYN, Ill. (WLS) - An investigation is underway after three people died in a shooting outside of a middle school in Illinois on Tuesday.

The school’s assistant principal is among the dead.

Investigators in Berwyn say the incident was a case of domestic violence.

Those who knew the assistant principal say she was someone who gave students the support they needed.

Students and staff at Lincoln Middle School were grieving together this week after the loss of their assistant principal, Nerissa Lee.

She was one of three people found dead right in front of the school Tuesday in, what police are calling, a domestic violence shooting.
