CAYUGA, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Students in the area will be attending Wetlands Days in Cayuga for the 26th year.
Though some people may have never thought about their local wetlands, while others work to protect them due to their importance to the ecosystems. According to the news release from the Purdue Extension in Vermillion County, that's what Wetlands Days is all about: raising awareness and understanding about wetlands and the vital roles they play.
Throughout the day, students will rotate through various hands-on educational stations led by professional instructors. The sessions are designed to give the students an engaging experience as well as practical knowledge.
