SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- This week’s WWE Monday Night Raw broke records for the MassMutual Center in Springfield.

The event, which was also streamed live on Netflix, generated an estimated $1.1 million in total economic impact, which MassMutual Center officials said was the highest single-day event impact in the arena’s history as fans filled hotels, restaurants, and local businesses. In addition, it was the arena’s highest grossing day ever as they also saw the highest amount of food, beverage, and merchandise sales.

“From the electric atmosphere in the arena to the excitement across downtown, the event showcased the power of live entertainment to bring people together and shine a global spotlight on Springfield,” said MassMutual Center General Manager Sean Dolan in a statement.
