Two casino proposals for Manhattan — Caesars Palace in Times Square and The Avenir in Hell’s Kitchen — were shot down by advisory committees earlier this week.

Six others in the city and nearby are still on the table. While casino opponents have voiced concerns about traffic and crime, advocates say they would bring jobs and revenue to the area.

Joseph Foudy, clinical professor of economics at NYU Stern, joined "News All Day" to talk about the numbers and economics surrounding casinos.
