CHICAGO — A man attempted to lure a girl twice in Woodlawn within a half hour, according to police.

At around 3:15 p.m. Thursday, a girl was walking home southbound in the 6300 block of South Langley when she was approached by a man driving a black sedan.

According to police, the man exited the sedan and gave the girl a hug. He then attempted to lure her into the sedan while offering to pay for sex, police said.

The girl was able to walk away but was approached by him shortly after in the 6500 block of South Langley.

Police believe the man grabbed the girl's wrist and tried to pull her into his sedan. She was able to get to a safe passage worker the man drove off eastbound on 66th Street, CPD said.
