FREDENBERG TOWNSHIP, Minn. (Northern News Now)- Two men are behind bars after allegedly burglarizing a home while the owners were away overnight.

St. Louis County sheriff’s deputies arrested Damian Coon, 26, of Duluth, and Cayden Pappas, 18, of Cloquet, in connection with the break-in, which happened Sept. 13 in the 6000 block of Olson Drive.

Deputies say the homeowners returned to find their front door and barn door kicked in. Inside, they noticed significant damage, including broken glass, shattered dishes, and a discharged fire extinguisher.

Three firearms and ammunition were also reported stolen, along with other property.

Lawmen located the suspects’ vehicle a short distance from the scene. The driver allegedly tried to get away but was caught near Buzz Ryan Road. Deputies say all
