LETCHER COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Sept. 19 marks one year since the deadly shooting of a Kentucky judge put a small community in the national spotlight.

Former Letcher County Sheriff Shawn "Mickey" Stines is accused of shooting and killing Judge Kevin Mullins in his chambers.

Stines was arrested and charged with killing a public official after turning himself in.
