Wet weather is in the forecast for Northern California on Friday as moisture from the remnants of tropical storm Mario sweep through.
Friday is a KCRA 3 weather Impact Day because of the potential for wet roads in some areas during the first half of the day.
The Valley will scattered areas of light rain starting before sunrise Friday morning. Rain chances will linger through about midday. Totals will be around a tenth of an inch or less.
Rain will be a little steadier in the Foothills, especially in Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties. A few rumbles of thunder are possible, too. Totals may reach a half inch in Sonora and surrounding communities. Areas north of highway 50 will likely see a quarter inch of rain or less.
