SAND MOUNTAIN, Ala. - A potential home invasion on Thursday in Marshall County led to the arrest of a man suspected of breaking into a residence. The incident occurred in the 3600 block of Highway 79 North, known locally as Scottsboro Highway.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reported receiving a call from a female resident who heard glass breaking and someone inside her home. Deputies, along with Grant Police officers, responded and cleared the residence, finding the suspect had fled.

A deputy later spotted a man matching the suspect's description walking nearby. Video footage and witness descriptions confirmed his identity.
