Eagles running back Will Shipley (oblique) returned to practice on Thursday for the first time since suffering an injury early in the season opener.
Shipley, 23, missed the Eagles’ Week 2 game against the Chiefs after playing just five offensive snaps against the Cowboys to start the season. Shipley did not participate at all in practice last week and also missed the first session of this week. But his participation in Thursday’s practice opens the possibility of a return against the Rams.

Without Shipley against the Chiefs, Saquon Barkley and A.J. Dillon carried the load, while newcomer Tank Bigsby didn’t get a single snap on offense.
