LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- The Lansing Police Department has arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with a July homicide that happened in a neighborhood near the Capital Region International Airport, a department spokesperson announced Friday.

Police say at around 3:48 a.m. July 20, officers responded to the 3800 block of Wilson Avenue for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Deandre Campbell, 36, with a gunshot wound under his armpit.

Multiple first responders provided medical aid to Campbell before taking him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
