WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A second man was arrested Friday for his alleged involvement in the April 2025 deadly shooting in Petworth, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detailed.
Police said 18-year-old Jayden Wells was arrested by the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and charged with first-degree murder while armed.
Wells' arrest comes months after the June arrest of 18-year-old Jose Hernandez, who was also charged with first-degree murder while armed.
According to court documents, on April 29 at 9:01 p.m., officers responded to shots fired in the 800 block of Taylor Street NW and the 3700 block of Georgia Avenue NW.
There, a man and a 15-year-old boy were found suffering from gunshot wounds on Georgia Avenue. Both were transported to the hospital, where the man later
