BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Police in Brooklyn Park said they've made an arrest in connection with a life-threatening stabbing in Brooklyn Park Monday, thanks to help from the public.

A statement from the police department Friday said its plea for the community to help identify the suspect drew in numerous tips, and called the response "overwhelming."

According to BPD's initial press release, the stabbing happened on the 5800 block of Brookdale Drive just before 10 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they reportedly found a man suffering from several serious stab wounds. Police said despite the severity of his wounds, he is expected to survive.
