FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was arrested after Fresno Police officers say they found an open container of alcohol, two phones, and two firearms during a traffic stop.

Police announced on Friday that they made a stop for multiple vehicle code violations in the area of Shields and Valentine avenues.

During a search of his vehicle, officers discovered concealed in the vehicle two firearms: one reported stolen from out of state and another that was a privately manufactured. The driver was also found with an open container of alcohol and a pair of cellphones.

Officers said they found an auto-switch and ammunition as well.

The driver was placed under arrest, and his vehicle was towed. He was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail.
