CANTON, Ohio (WJW) -- A convicted rapist accused of kidnapping a woman at knifepoint in Stark County earlier this week is now being held on a $1 million bond.

Jamie Triplett Jr., 38, of Canton, is facing felony charges of kidnapping, aggravated robbery and disrupting public services and a misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing in the Wednesday, Sept. 17, incident in Jackson Township, Stark County Municipal Court records show.

It happened just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rodeway Inn, 6880 Sunset Strip Ave. NW, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday, Sept. 18.
