LAKELAND, Fla. ( WWSB ) - State and local authorities have announced nearly 250 people have been arrested in a massive prostitution and human trafficking ring operation that included child sexual predators in Polk County.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said Friday that 12 possible human trafficking victims were also identified in the case named “Fool Around and Find Out -- Again.”

According to Uthmeier’s office and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the operation was conducted Sept. 8-14.

The sheriff’s office arrested 230 suspects involved in illegal acts related to soliciting prostitutes, offering to commit prostitution, or aiding/abetting or transporting prostitutes.
