CLYMER TWP., Pa. (WETM) -- The bridge over Potter Brook in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, has been replaced and reopened to traffic after being damaged as a result of flash flooding in the summer of 2024, as announced by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

On Friday, Sept. 19, PennDOT announced that the bridge that carries Potter Brook Road (Route 4001/T-803) over Potter Brook in Clymer Township has been reopened to traffic following the completion of a bridge replacement project that spanned several months.

PennDOT states that the bridge was damaged beyond repair as a result of the flash flooding that occurred in August of 2024 from the remnants of Hurricane Debby. The replacement project for the bridge began in the spring of 2025 and was completed on Sept. 19.
