MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Bicentennial Park in Maryville is now the home of a new pavilion and arboretum.

The new additions were unveiled on Friday by Denso, the City of Maryville, Leadership Blount and Downtown Maryville Alliance.

One tree was planted on Friday, and a spokesperson for Denso said the arboretum will help celebrate their anniversary in Maryville.

“We’re going to plant 34 more trees, not including the one over here behind us, to represent the 35 years that Denzo has been in Maryville,” said Mark Johnson, the director of electrification division for Denso.

Johnson said that one of Denso’s core principles is to contribute to their associates, society and community.
