HAWKINS, Texas (KLTV) - Elysian Fields improved to 4-0 on the season following a 39-14 win on the road over Hawkins on Thursday.

Elysian Fields’ Nunu Johnson started the scoring with a touchdown run to put the Yellowjackets up 7-0.

Hawkins took the 8-7 lead after quarterback Eli Smith scored on a run down the sidelines. The Hawks then converted a two-point conversion.

EF’s Braedon Adkins then scored to put the ‘Jackets up 15-14, following their own two-point conversion.

Johnson scored again following a Hawkins turnover. Johnson fumbled the snap but picked it up and took off untouched for the long touchdown to put EF up late in the first half, 23-14.

Elysian Fields led 26-14 at the half.

Elysian Fields (4-0) hosts Beckville in Week 5. Hawkins (4-1) travels to Union Grove.
