FALMOUTH, Maine — The Hurricane Meadows Fall Festival in Falmouth is raising money for a child advocacy nonprofit in honor of its late founder .
It includes family-friendly activities, including a potato cannon, bubble barn, corn pit, bounce pillow, sunflower picking, and more.
Evan and Laura Putnam are co-owners of Hurricane Meadows Farm. They've put on the festival for the past two years and select a beneficiary each time.
This year, a portion of the proceeds will go to "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes," a nonprofit fighting for accountability and transparency from Maine's Department of Health and Human Services, specifically as it relates to kids under state supervision.
"It's child advocates for kids in state care, and they need a voice," Evan Putnam said. "It's a phenomenal cause, an
