SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - For the first time in 60 years, South Bend will have a city hall. The renovated building downtown is where the South Bend School Corporation used to be located.
The County-City building needs significant renovations to bring it up to standards. South Bend Mayor James Mueller says the “10 million dollar renovated space” is a good deal.
The City Hall is set to bring in around 200 city employees from across three government buildings.
The County-City building, the building department offices on Lafayette, and the water works team on Colfax will now all be housed under one roof.
