SHELTON, Neb. (KSNB) - Numerous officers from the Buffalo County Sheriff’s office, the Nebraska State Patrol, Shelton Police Department, and Kearney Police Department arrested a Shelton man Thursday after a short stand-off.

Court records show officers with the help of the KPD K9 arrested 41-year-old Giovanni Morales Thursday after a break-in at a Shelton home.

The homeowner saw the suspect enter the home with a doorbell camera and notified the Shelton Police Department. Officers from the four agencies soon arrived and Morales was ordered to leave the house. Police say Morales refused and went to a back room. Officers broke a window in the house to get inside and arrested Morales about 45 minutes later with the help of the KPD K9.
