If you’re looking for pumpkins in Connecticut this year, you’re in luck.

For the first time in years, the weather conditions cooperated for a better harvest.

While it technically may still be summer, Dzen Farmers in South Windsor and Ellington are fully stocked with gourds of all shapes and sizes.

“These next few weekends will be pretty busy right up until Halloween,” owner Donny Dzen said.

The harvest this year has been favorable compared to past years, where excessive rain ruined large amounts of pumpkins.

While the plant needs a lot of water to get their size, too much water can make pumpkins soft and fragile.
