A terrifying coyote attack last year left a small dog fighting for her life.

But now she is ready for the great outdoors.

Last Christmas Eve, Bruce Bourgoin from West Hartford recalls the moments when their dog, Piper, was attacked and dragged across the street by a pack of coyotes.

“I thought she had passed, but my wife said I could see her chest moving,” Bourgoin said.

He told us Piper was attacked and dragged across the street by a pack of coyotes.

“My sister had picked her up and wrapped her in a towel and rushed her in the car,” Bourgoin said.

Piper was rushed to a West Hartford veterinarian.

After many months of procedures and surgery, Piper is back to full health.
