GREENVILLE, S.C. — Prisma Health–Greenville Memorial Hospital has accepted a baby girl surrendered under Daniel’s Law , South Carolina’s Safe Haven for Abandoned Babies Act. Officials confirmed the infant was surrendered on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

The baby girl was born on September 3, weighing 4 pounds, 9.4 ounces and measuring 17.3 inches long. After being surrendered, Greenville County DSS took custody of the child, completed a medical evaluation, and placed her in a licensed foster home.

A Permanency Planning Hearing and Termination of Parental Rights Hearing has been scheduled for October 28 at 9:30 a.m. in Greenville County Family Court. Anyone who believes they have parental rights to the child must attend the hearing to assert them.

This marks the fifth infant surrendered
