NAVY YARD AREA — THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE AND FLUSHING AVENUE WILL BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC on part of this Saturday, Sept. 20, for the 9/11 Memorial “Run for Richie” Motorcycle Parade, according to a Notify NYC announcement released on Friday.

During the “Run for Richie” event, which begins at 11 a.m., motorcycles and emergency vehicles will be traveling from Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens to Kent and Classon avenues in northern Brooklyn. During this time, commuters should expect intermittent road closures on the Long Island Expressway, Queens Midtown Tunnel, 42nd Street, West Side Highway South, West Street, the Brooklyn Bridge and Flushing Avenue.
