BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - An area of high pressure is sinking into the region this weekend. It will bring clear skies and northwest winds, which will allow lows to drop into the 30s and 40s overnight. A Freeze Warning is in effect for western and northwestern Maine with a Frost Advisory in effect for northeastern Maine and extending through Greenville and through the foothills of western Maine.

This area of high pressure will bring lots of sunshine for Saturday, but highs will only make it into the 60s. An even colder night is in store Saturday night into Sunday morning with more lows expected to drop into the 30s and 40s.

Winds will shift out of the south on Sunday. This will help warm temperatures slightly with more areas returning to the upper 60s. Temperatures will return to the 70s for
