LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The United Independent School District announced that they have launched a new, centralized program designed to provide comprehensive educational services for deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students.
The new initiative seeks to provide students with direct, specialized academic instruction from certified teachers of the deaf. By creating a dedicated in-house program, UISD looks to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to the unique communication and academic needs of DHH students, ensuring they have the resources needed to excel.
