LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - City of Laredo officials are assisting residents affected by a water main break that flooded their street.
The sinkhole was reported shortly before 6 a.m. on Friday, September 19, on the 200 block of E. Frost St., which caused a truck to be swallowed by it.
For hours, workers pumped water out of the sinkhole to begin repairs. They continue to urge the public to be patient while they address the issue.
City of Laredo Public Information Manager Noraida Negron explained how they are assisting those affected, saying, “The owner of the home where this incident has occurred, which is also the owner of the vehicle. The city of Laredo has been able to take care of them, providing them a safe place to stay overnight.”
