PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- A Peoria woman faces up to 14 years in prison for allegedly stabbing her ex-boyfriend in the stomach.

Nicole L. Keller, 23, appeared in Peoria County Circuit Court late Friday on the single charge of aggravated domestic battery in connection the alleged stabbing early Friday morning.

Prosecutors sought to hold her in custody pending the outcome of her case but a judge said no and released her. The judge imposed several conditions for her release including wearing a GPS monitoring bracelet, having no contact with the victim and not to possess any weapons.

According to court records, the stabbing occurred just after midnight Friday in the 4500 block of North Rockwell Drive which is a few blocks north of Charter Oak Road. When officers arrived, they saw blood on the
