The Cooperstown Repair Café series will continue from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 and Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Tuesday Cooperstown Farmers’ Market.
According to a news release, members of the community are invited to bring in broken lamps, small appliances, sewing projects and small furniture. Volunteer repair experts will evaluate and make repairs and give advice on how to fix a variety of items. Volunteers will also make simple jewelry repairs and advise on repurposing clothing and visible mending. In addition, a volunteer coach will answer questions about cellphones and how they can work more effectively. The repairs will be done free of charge. Materials needed to fix items may be available to purchase.
