Storms will continue moving across New Mexico tonight. Drier air will quickly follow in behind them, bringing drier and warmer weather this weekend.

Showers and storms have been popping up, especially in western New Mexico, Friday afternoon as a surge of moisture moves into the state. These storms will continue moving eastward into this evening, bringing a threat of heavy rain and flash flooding to parts of western, central, and southern New Mexico into late tonight.
