ST. PAUL, Minn. (GRAY) – Minnesota’s legislative leaders continued to mull over the details of a special session this week, but several factors might be complicating the process behind the scenes.
Exactly three weeks ago, sources within Governor Walz’s Office first indicated that he’d been calling legislative members in the wake of August’s shooting at Annunciation Church and telling them to prepare for a special session.
The session, Walz has said multiple times, will focus on gun control.
“Foundational to that is, I believe, with every fiber of my being that we need to take the weapons of war off the streets,” he said last week.
