NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - People described Nashville International Airport (BNA) as absolute mayhem earlier this week when cars were backed up for miles. It took hours for some passengers to get through the gridlock.

The airport blamed it on a lot of people flying in and out at the same time, but we wanted to know what’s being done to stop it from happening again this weekend with another home Titans game and multiple conventions in town.

BNA leaders said they saw twice as many rideshare passengers than normal, for a total of more than 14,000 cars, during an 11-hour period on Monday. That came as a large number of NFL fans were departing the city and thousands of people arrived at the airport for a convention.
