ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Atlanta Dream’s season might not have ended the way the team wanted it to, but one Dream player can still go out on a high note.

Dream guard Allisha Gray has been named a finalist for the WNBA MVP award.

Gray was the engine of an offense that more than doubled its win total from last season but still fell short in the first round. The 30-year-old averaged a career-high 18.4 points per game and also set career highs in rebounds, assists and three-pointers.

She is joined by Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, Kelsey Mitchell of the Indiana Fever, Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.

The winner will be announced Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
