OMAHA, Neb. —

If you spend some time around Elkhorn North, you feel the confidence, the closeness, and a team playing for something much bigger than just football.

Head coach Sam Stanley and his wife welcomed twin boys in November, and one of their boys, Grant, has been fighting for his life ever since.

Grant has survived two open heart surgeries, and since then he has been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension.

The twins even made it to their first football game on Sept. 12.

They were good luck charms for the 3-0 Wolves, who said they believe they can make it to Memorial Stadium.
