WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrested a second suspect in the death of a teenage boy in 2019.
MPD said that around 7:25 p.m. on April 27, 2019, officers responded to a wooded spot close to the 5200 block of Canal Rd. NW after someone reported finding an unconscious person.
Police found a teenage boy who had multiple traumatic injuries. He died there.
Officials later identified him as 16-year-old Eberson Guerra-Sanchez of Frederick, Md. He had been reported missing out of Frederick County days before his body was found.
Police made the first arrest on July 9, 2024, when they took 25-year-old Pedro Alexander Joya Argueta of Frederick, Md., into custody. He was charged with first degree murder while armed - felony murder.
