NORFOLK, Virginia — An analysis of both public federal records and responses from local law enforcement agencies offers a glimpse into the activity of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) within Hampton Roads under the beginning of the Trump administration.
Federal record-keeping of detainers issued by ICE within Hampton Roads shows an increase of 180% when looking at the first seven months of 2025.
