WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita police arrested a 39-year-old man Friday morning in connection with a hit-and-run that left a woman in critical condition.

The man hit the woman around 4 a.m. in the 600 block of North Oliver, near Central. Officers who responded found the woman lying in the road. The vehicle involved had fled the scene.

Wichita Police Department said it used technology to help them find the suspect vehicle. Police found the vehicle later on Friday, showing visible damage consistent with the hit-and-run.

The 39-year-old man was taken into custody and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
