Food with the fire department: Newbury COA hosts senior cookout

NEWBURY — With grills sizzling and ice cream keeping everyone cool, seniors spent hours with local firefighters Tuesday as the Newbury Council on Aging hosted the Newbury Fire Department for a cookout.

“Seniors are seeing firefighters in a really relaxed environment,” COA Director Cindy Currier said the day after event.
