President Donald Trump’s tough guy behavior, and image, keep getting in the way of actions that might boost his popularity — and strengthen the nation. It’s one reason leading historians and analysts rank Trump among the nation’s weakest presidents.

A Republican leader of a conservative state last week showed President Donald Trump what leadership looks like. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox condemned the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. He appealed to a younger generation to embrace “our differences and (have) those hard conversations.”
