ROCHESTER, Minn. — Rochester Public Transit (RPT) is enhancing safety at Central Park with new lighting as part of a construction project on 2nd Street Southwest.

This project temporarily relocates the transit center, impacting local transit routes. Construction will take place over two days, weather permitting, with work on two sides of the park at a time. During this period, affected sidewalks will close, and pedestrians will be redirected through the park.

On September 23, stands 2 and 5 will move to a temporary Stand 6 on the east side of 1 Avenue Northwest, affecting routes 21, 22, 23, 101, 103, 116, 150X, 550WB, 202, 204, 307, 309, 314PM, 409, and 411.

The following day, September 24, stands 3 and 4 will also relocate to Stand 6, impacting routes 24, 25, 26, 102, 205, 206, 217, 30
