Tyriq Withers ’ Cameron Cade first gets excited when he gets recruited to replace Marlon Wayans’ Isaiah White, eight-time champion star quarterback for the San Antonio Saviors. White, whose career is declining, agrees to coach his replacement before he retires, but his methods lean into psychological manipulation, which combined with Cade’s traumatic head injury, doesn’t bode well for the athlete. Julia Fox’s Elsie White pops in here and there to lure Cameron further into the depths of the White compound, where the saviors train. Football themes abound
