KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In light of continuing drought conditions across the state, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources is encouraging people to report local drought conditions in their area to help local, state and national decision-makers better understand and assess drought conditions and impacts in the state.
Missouri drought conditions continue to worsen, the department said in a news release. The department's Climate and Weather Committee, in consultation with the State Climatologist and partners from the National Weather Service, is actively monitoring drought conditions and any impacts occurring in Missouri’s communities.
