COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus State Community College broke ground Friday on a new academic building that looks to double the number of health care graduates over the next decade.
The 80,000-square-foot, three-story OhioHealth Hall plans to include hands-on labs, simulation spaces, classrooms and other amenities for students in nursing, respiratory care, surgical technology and more.
The $66.5 million project, funded by bond proceeds approved by Franklin County residents, will be built adjacent to Mitchell Hall at the southwest corner of Cleveland Avenue and East Spring Street. The Columbus State Foundation is working to raise an additional $10 million to purchase equipment for the new space, the college said.
