SHREVEPORT, La. - The Loyola College Prep Flyers have a new, live mascot.
Meet Flyer, a young beagle who is growing into more than just a mascot.
"We are very excited to have our own mascot here on campus to brighten our students' day and show them what it means to be a flyer in true spirit," said Loyola Principal Laurie Salvail.
"He's going to grow up to be a great symbol for this wonderful high school, he's going to be a source of pride and a great source of affection for so many," said Louisiana Tech President Jim Henderson.
Flyer is fully trained to be a therapy dog and will visit students during class to help relieve stress.
