OAKLAND COUNTY, MI – Detroit Catholic Central took down their rival, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, 29-14 in a battle of two powerhouse football programs Friday night.

The Catholic League juggernauts, both 3-0 entering Friday’s game, are perennial rivals, though they compete in different divisions. Reigning D2 state champs Orchard Lake were looking to put a damper on the hopes of a Catholic Central D1 title run.

But brothers Gideon and Samson Gash had something to say about that. Samson, a Michigan State commit, kicked things off with an acrobatic touchdown run just over a minute into the game.
