BROWNSBURG, Ind. — The top-ranked Brownsburg Bulldogs stopped the red-hot No. 8 Fishers Tigers in their tracks with a 42-14 rout on Friday night.
It was a heartbreaking loss for the Tigers as they'd just come off a huge Mudsock victory over cross-town rival Hamilton Southeastern one week ago. Friday night, Fishers again were the underdogs, but they just could not match Brownsburg's offense.
The Bulldogs struck first when quarterback Oscar Frye connected with junior wide receiver Branden Sharpe for a 7-yard touchdown pass to put Brownsburg up 7-0 late in the first quarter.
The Bulldogs scored 28 unanswered points before Fishers finally found their way into the endzone after Ryan Thembulembu scored on a 2-yard run.
By halftime, Brownsburg had a 28-7 score and was starting to run away.
